About the experience

The “Passion Japon” exhibition invites you to take a stroll through a Japan rich in its age-old traditions.
Whether you are passionate of Japanese culture or simply want to travel for the duration of an exhibition, you will discover an exhibition which traces the key themes of Japan, this country both traditional and modern which never ceases to fascinate.

The visit lasts between 1h30 and 2h.

The exhibition takes place at La Sucrière (49-50 Quai Rambaud, 69002 Lyon, France).

Guided tours are available at the price of €165 during the week and €185 at the weekend for a 1 hour visit, per group of 30 people maximum. Please book via reservations@expo-passionjapon.com at least 15 days in advance.

If you are at least 20 people, you can visit the exhibition at the preferential rate of €16 per person.

If you wish to visit the museum without a guide, you can make your reservation by email at the address: reservations@expo-passionjapon.com by entering “Adult group” in the subject line of the email.

For a more specific experience (guided tour, privatization, etc.), you can also contact our team via the address reservations@expo-passionjapon.com.

School groups can visit the exhibition at the advantageous rate of €9 per person, with one free companion per 15 students. Additional accompanying persons pay €9.

School visits can be done with the audio guide (included in the price) or with a guide (165€ during the week and 185€ at the weekend for a 1 hour visit, maximum 30 students per guide).

The exhibition takes place entirely indoors.

Benches are available throughout the exhibition route.

Photos are allowed, without flash and respecting the experience of other visitors. Professional equipment and tripods are prohibited.

Animals are not allowed in the exhibition, with the exception of assistance dogs.

About tickets and booking

We advise you to reserve your ticket via our online ticket office to ensure access to the exhibition on the date and time of your choice. 

You can nevertheless buy your ticket on site. Without reservation, our teams will welcome you within the capacity limits of the exhibition venue.

Please note: if you have received your ticket with your CE, you can go directly to the exhibition reception during opening hours, without additional reservation.

No. People with CE tickets do not need to reserve a visiting slot and can come whenever they want according to the exhibition opening hours.

You can change the date/time of your visit freely, subject to availability.

  • Events on the ticket office ;
  • Click on the “Edit reservation” icon ;
  • Enter your order number (present on your tickets and in your order confirmation email) and your email address;
  • Click on “Edit ticket reservation” ;
  • Choose the tickets whose visit date/time needs to be changed, then choose a new visit date and time;
  • You will receive a confirmation email as well as your new tickets!

It is best to arrive at the time indicated on your ticket. However, if you arrive earlier or later, our teams will be happy to welcome you within the capacity limits of the exhibition venue.

If you have booked during the last time slot of the day, we recommend that you arrive well in time to allow time to view the entire exhibition.

If you arrive earlier or later, our teams will be happy to welcome you within the capacity limits of the exhibition venue. An arrival after 16:30 p.m. (last entry) does not guarantee a complete visit to the exhibition, the latter closing its doors without exception at 18:00 p.m.

Tickets are non-refundable, as specified in our general conditions of sale. 

If you cannot attend the exhibition, you can change the date and time of your ticket. Contact us for this via reservations@expo-passionjapon.com or at +33 4 78 79 23 61.

If you lose your ticket, contact us via the address info@expo-passionjapon.com indicating your name, first name and the email address used for the reservation.

We offer a reduced rate of €16,00 for seniors holding the senior card, offered by the city of Lyon. To benefit from this, please go to the exhibition reception with this proof.

The Culture Pass is intended for young people individual visitors from 15 to 18 years old. To benefit from it, go to the Pass Culture website or the mobile application directly to reserve your tickets.

About the exhibition venue

Yes, the exhibition venue is accessible by public transport: Tram line T1/T2 to the Hôtel de Région Montrochet stop or by bus with line S1 to the La Sucrière stop.

Parking is available at the Confluence Shopping Center, but there is no parking provided at the exhibition venue.

The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility and is equipped with adapted toilets, an elevator and an exterior access ramp.

Yes, a booklet is available free of charge at the ticket office upon request.

A wheelchair is available upon request via info@expo-passionjapon.com or the family 04 78 79 23 61.

Food is on sale in the shop but only for takeaway, no food or drink may be consumed in the exhibition.

Yes, the toilets are on the ground floor of La Sucrière. 
 

A limited number of free lockers are available on site.

Please note: reception staff do not keep large suitcases, strollers, bicycles, skateboards, scooters or bicycle batteries that do not fit in a locker.

Yes, the shop is accessible without needing an entry ticket to the exhibition and during exhibition opening hours.
